My name is Mary Victoria Smiley, but I have been "Torrie" my entire life and now sign
and certify my work by just the one name. I am orginially from West Texas, now living and painting in the foothills
of North Carolina.
I am
primarily a self taught artist who paints using oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel. I have become known for my different
renditions of pears, ranging from realism to colorful impressionism. I have won awards and became a Juried Artist
with my Martini Series.
My paintings
are now in collections and galleries throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
